Officers working a construction detail rushed to Monroe Street and Cambridge Avenue just before 1 p.m., where two cars had collided, the department said on social media.
Officers helped one driver out of his vehicle unharmed while two occupants of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.
